Downers here with the 3rd instalment of the Team of the week Prediction article, this is where you can find all your information on who is likely to make it into EA’s TOTW!

Please remember that the performers mentioned are my own and community based opinions and not that of EA. If your performer is not on the list does not mean he won’t make EA’s team.Be aware that most leagues have finished or are coming to a close so if your league is not in the list it has not been missed it has been removed either through lack of standout performers or that the league has ended. For example the German season is over, therefore no Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga players will make the list.

Let’s see what we have left

ST: Stefan Maierhofer – Red Bulls Salzburg – (69 > 73) 2 Goals in a 5-1 drubbing of Wiener Neustadt, although Maierhofer was not the stand out performer from me in that game – he is the only one other than Soriano who is actually on UT. So to summarise – played well, not too involved so maybe not this week. Chance 2/5

Barclays Premier League:

GK: Paddy Kenny – Queens Park Rangers – (73 > 74) Yes ok he made a Howler for the first goal – I am the first to admit that, I am not being biased with this review but he made countless numbers of point blank saves to deny City until the dying seconds. I have so little other suggestions he has to be in with a shot. Chance 2/5

LB: Andre Santos – Arsenal – (75 > 79) 1 Goal from LB against a determined West Brom side who looked to send Roy Hodgson off with a bang, Unfortunately it was not to be as Arsenal showed true grit to battle back and take the win. Goal scoring defenders are always a plus in any side, EA seem to like rewarding them too. Chance 3/5

CB: Laurent Koscielny – Arsenal – SIF(78 > 82 > 84) 1 Goal from the Frenchman in a 3-2 away victory over West Brom. Glad to see such a great spectacle at the Hawthorns and although defensively both teams were poor he did grab himself a goal at the other end. Would be nice to see a deservedly higher rating after an amazing season. Chance 3/5

CB: Emmerson Boyce – Wigan Athletic – (72 > 74) 2 Goals from CB in another poor defensive performance in the premier league, but wow what a performance from this guy – could we see a 3rd Barbados IF in FIFA 12, I think so. Chance 5/5

CB: John Terry – Chelsea – SIF(86 > 87 > 88) 1 Goal against a poor and already relegated Blackburn side, probably not going to happen but EA loves a defender who can find the net. Chance 2/5

CB: John Heitinga – Everton – SIF(76 > 79 > 81) 1 Goal and probably the best defensive display from all the other premier league suggestions. Everton rounded off a fantastic comeback from their dismal start to the season in this awesome 3-1 victory over Newcastle to ensure local bragging rights. Chance 3/5

RB: Pablo Zabaleta – Manchester City – (76 > 79) 1 Goal in the title deciding match which City sluggishly battled through and stole the title in the dying seconds of the game. Zabaleta got the fans on their feet with the first of City’s 3 goals and has been a useful performer all season. Let’s face it someone from City deserves an IF this week to celebrate their first ever Premier League title. Chance 4/5

RM: Jon Walters – Stoke City – (75 > 79) 2 Goals(1 Penalty) from an absolute HERO,  This magnificent Irishman saved QPR(My Team) from certain relegation by dominating play against Bolton to ensure they were relegated into the championship. Chance 4/5

ST: Danny Graham – Swansea – (74 > 74) 1 Goal from the Striker this week who has struggled with consistency this term in the top flight, I thought he was worth a mention due to the nature of the opposition and it would cap off a terrific season by the Welsh side. Chance 2/5

Hellas Liga:

ST: Nikos Liberopoulos – AEK Athens – (74 > 79) 2 Goals in a 3-2 victory over Atromitos in a very peculiar Champions League Play-Off, as a result moving AEK up to 2nd. I am not sure how likely EA are to Include this as technically it is still part of the season, but let’s assume they will. Chance 2/5

LW: Jair – Jeju United – (63 > 64) 3 Goals from the Brazilian out in Korea, Jeju are having a fantastic start to the season finding themselves in 2nd place so far this term. Chance 4/5

Liga BBVA:

GK: Keylor Navas – Levante – (69 > 74) Clean sheet for Levante who finish the season strongly after a fantastic showing this campaign. Chance 4/5

CAM: Mesult Ozil – Real Madrid – (86 > 88 > 89) 2 Goals in a 4-1 Victory over Mallorca, he dominated possession and hardly wasted a pass all game, the only reason he might be overlooked is due to the release of league TOTY’s which he is sure to get a spot, but I doubt BBVA will be this week.  So for those reasons and because we are missing pack sellers this week chance 4/5.

ST: Abdelkader Ghezzal – Levante – (73 > 74) 2 Goals in a 3-0 Victory over Bilbao, he is not currently in the database for Levante, however he is in the database for another club so it is possible to transfer and reward him. Chance 2/5

Liga do Brazil:

Please note, I am aware the league is not on at the moment and that the completion that is running (Copa Libertadores) is technically a pre- season cup. However when leagues have been absent EA have included players from this competition and others in the past, as most leagues have ended/are ending now I will be including suggestions from this competition.

CAM: Paulo Henrique Ganso – Santos – (83 > 85) 2 Goals against Bolivar in the Copa Libertadores. He dominated the midfield albeit against very weak opposition but still has to be in with a slim chance. Chance 3/5

CAM: Elano – Santos – (79 > 83) 2 Goals in the same game against Bolivar which ended 8-0. A stunning team performance and really hard to pick the best players in this match. Chance 3/5

ST: Neymar – Santos – TIF(84 > 85 > 87 > 88) 1 Goal and 5 assists in the same game as the Ganso goal, again against poor opposition and has certainly not out performed any previous IF’s in terms of goals however as a team player he was magnificent. Chance 4/5

Liga Portuguesa:

CAM: Bruno Cesar – Benfica – (77 > 82) 2 Goals in a 3-1 away victory, not sure why but EA seem to not like Benfica or Cesar much this year as they have had IF chances shunned many times, however due to less leagues being on and less candidates I think this could be the week. Chance 3/5

ST: Ricky Van Wolfswinkel – Sporting Lisbon – (74 > 80) 3 Goals in a 3-2 victory so his contribution was vital in this match. Gone with a controversial rating boost as many will want him to stay silver. I personally see him going gold due to lack of interesting options up front in the league, some will disagree. Chance 4/5

Ligue 1:

RB/CB:  Rod Fanni – Marseille – (79 > 83) 1 Goal and a clean sheet. Debate about where he played, my sources say he was the CB and Azpilicueta was the RB but various other sources disagree. Chance 3/5

RB/CB: Cesar Azpilicueta – Marseille – (75 > 80) 1 Goal and a clean sheet. Again as above there is debate as to where he played, both RB and CB are in question. Sources contradict each other. Chance 3/5

LM: Nene – PSG – 4IF(84 > 86 > 87 > 88> 89)  3 Goals from the prolific goal scorer. Not doing a massive write up on Nene, although I don’t think he has outperformed any of his previous IF’s he may well get another upgrade. I personally hope someone else gets it. Chance 3/5

RW: Benjamin Moukandjo – AS Nancy – (72 > 74) Scored a brace to gift Nancy a 3-2 victory over St Etienne. A really impressive performance from the wide man, left the defenders in a complete mess for a high percentage of the game. Chance 3/5

CDM: Rafael Marquez – New York Red Bulls – (80 > 83) A stunning through pass to set up the winning goal, showed versatility by switching mid game from CM to CB.  Chance 2/5

CM: Shalrie Joseph – New England Revolution – (70 > 73) 1 Goal in a 4-1 thrashing of Vancouver, again might not have been a standout performer in a thrilling team effort however he is the only scorer from the game on UT. Chance 2/5

CF: Fredy Montero – Seattle Sounders – (74 > 74) 2 Goals in their 2-0 victory, I have been unable to find out much more info on this game so apologies for the fact that the description is vague. Chance 3/5

Primera Div Mex:

CB: Jose Maria Basanta – Monterrey – (74 > 79) 1 Goal and a 2 clean sheets in the 2 legs (both in this gameweek) in the semi-final play-offs. Chance 3/5

Russian League:

CB: Marek Suchy – Spartak Moskva – (72 > 74) 1 Goal and a clean sheet in the Moscow derby which ensures Spartak Leapfrog CSKA in the table and as a result will qualify for the champions league spot. Chance 3/5

CM: Roman Kontsedalov – Spartak Nalchik – (72 > 74) 2 Goals in a 3-3 draw, commanded the midfield for Nalchik and grabbed an assist in the process. Chance 4/5

Serie A:

LB: Andrea Dossena – Napoli – (77 > 81) 2 Goals playing as a LB to ensure Napoli finish on a high. Goal scoring defenders have been high in number this week but this was a very impressive display bagging a brace. I would be hugely shocked not to see him in the team. Chance 5/5.

CAM:  Erik Lamela – AS Roma – (74 > 74) 1 Goal and 1 Assist for the promising Argentinian starlet. Turned the game around for Roma who were surprisingly poor against Cesena, only just winning 3-2. Chance 3/5

ST: Libor Kozak – Lazio – (75 > 79) 1 Goal and 1 Assist in a 3-1 drubbing of a wasteful Inter Milan, the fallen giants have taken a huge knock this year and Lazio have added to their misery by finishing above them in Serie A. Chance 3/5

ST: Alberto Gilardino – Genoa – (81 > 83) 1 Goal and 1 Assist to ensure that Genoa beat the drop. Genoa with this result saved themselves by beating a strong Palermo team. Chance 3/5

CM: Maurice Edu – Rangers – (66 > 71) 2 Assists and commanding display in the 4-0 victory over St Johnstone in their final SPL game of the season. It’s fair to say that this season has been one to forget for Rangers fans but hopefully during the break they can sort out the financial turmoil and turn things around in time for next season. Chance 2/5

ST: Gary Hooper – Celtic – TIF(76 > 83 > 84 > 86) 5 Goals in the game against Hearts, 1 Penalty but that does not subtract from what was a magnificent display in front of Goal from the Striker. Will be hard to beat his performance this week/ Near Impossible. Chance 5/5

CM: Martin Jorgensen – Aarhus GF – (71 > 74) 2 Goals from CM for a strong Aarhus side against a former European cup qualifying Brondby side who are languishing in 9th place so far this term. EA have a habit of overlooking the smaller leagues so I feel it may be unfairly overlooked – AGAIN. Chance 3/5

ST: Davy Claude Angan – Molde FK – (76 > 80) 2 Goals for the championship holders managed by former Manchester United Legend Solskjaer. The team itself have gotten off to a sluggish start this time out and this result could really turn around the season beating bottom club Stabaek 5-0! Chance 3/5

ST: Bjorn Sigurdarsson – Lillestrom – (74 > 74) 3 Goals in a 3-4 loss for Lillestrom so the likelihood of Sigurdarsson getting an IF from this game is very slim. But an impressive performance all the same. Chance 3/5
